What We Do

Wetland Solutions, Inc. (WSI) provides environmental consulting services with a focus on water quality improvement in wetland and aquatic ecosystems. Located near Gainesville, Florida, WSI staff work throughout Florida and the U.S. to assess, understand, and solve environmental problems related to water quality, natural plant communities, and fish and wildlife protection. Our work effectively combines the related fields of environmental science and engineering. WSI staff are pioneers in the use of natural and constructed wetlands for water quality protection and enhancement. We also have deep roots in the study and protection of spring-based ecosystems in Florida, including landmark efforts to quantify long-term changes in springs that are impacted by rising levels of water quality pollutants such as nitrate nitrogen. Combined with past and continuing studies of the linkages and interactions between lakes, canals, wetlands, and springs, WSI has a unique holistic perspective concerning environmental issues that affect water environments.
